ED01 A Green Government would abolish fees for further education.

ED02 The Green Party will remove any privatisation and any ability to make profit from the state education system, and would ensure that no state-funded schools would be privatised or enabled for profit-making.

ED03 The Green Party supports the provision of free school meals throughout a child's education between the ages of 5 and 18 and will implement a minimum requirement that such meals are balanced nutritionally and sourced sustainably.

ED04 The Green Party will push for more apprenticeships offered for school leavers.

ED05 The Green Party will support creative education and performance arts in schools and will seek to ensure the appropriate funds are available.

ED06 The Green Party will make sure that school exams are spilt across the school year instead of one final exam, where stress and pressure can really affect students.

ED07 The Green Party will push for the right of education for those with disabilities, aiming to provide access to mainstream education where possible.

ED08 The Green Party supports the return of all schools, including academies, free schools and grammar schools to local authority control to ensure democratic accountability in education.

ED09 We will oversee the gradual integration of grammar schools into a better funded system of local comprehensive schools providing mixed-ability teaching and staffed by qualified teachers.

ED10 We will aim to reduce class sizes to around 20 through substantial investment in more teachers and better facilities.

ED11 We will support young people in education through the restoration of the Education Maintenance Allowance for 16 and 17 year olds.

ED12 The Green Party supports a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum to be taught in all schools without exceptions that provides choices of academic and vocational areas and compulsory financial, political, sex and relationships, first aid and climate education.
